Come & See expects participants, mentors, churches, staff, coordinators, hosts, and partners to respect appropriate boundaries and respond responsibly to concerns. This public page gives reporting guidance; the complete operational policy and case records remain restricted.
Our commitment
Program activities should honor the dignity of adults, children, hosts, local churches, staff, and communities. Harassment, abuse, exploitation, coercion, retaliation, discriminatory conduct, and misuse of spiritual or organizational authority are inconsistent with the program.
Expected conduct
Participants are expected to follow safeguarding guidance, respect privacy and consent, use stories and images only as authorized, avoid isolated or inappropriate situations, communicate concerns promptly, and never promise secrecy when someone may be at risk.
Report a concern
Do not describe a safeguarding incident in the public interest form. Contact the assigned program or mobilization coordinator directly. If you do not know whom to contact, email movilizacion@mce-iberamerica.org and request a confidential safeguarding conversation. Share only the minimum needed to arrange secure follow-up.
Urgent danger
If someone is in immediate danger or needs urgent medical or police assistance, contact the emergency services in the country where the person is located. Then notify the responsible MCE/ECMI leader as soon as it is safe to do so.
How reports are handled
A concern should be acknowledged, recorded securely, assessed by authorized personnel, and escalated according to applicable policy and law. Confidentiality cannot be guaranteed when disclosure is required to protect a person or comply with legal obligations. Retaliation against a good-faith reporter is not acceptable.
