Come & See begins before you board a plane and continues long after you return. Each movement creates space for you—and your church—to listen, learn, discern, and respond faithfully to what God is doing.

01 · Explore

Begin with a conversation.

Bring your questions and tell us what has awakened your interest in mission. A mobilization coordinator helps you explore whether Come & See may be an appropriate next step and encourages discernment with your church.

02 · Prepare

Eight weeks of spiritual formation.

Scripture, prayer, cultural listening, practical preparation, reflection, and seven separately scheduled mentor conversations prepare you to arrive as a learner—not an expert.

03 · Gather

The whole cohort begins with Prayer Days.

Every participant gathers first in Huelva for the shared spiritual foundation of Come & See. Personal prayer, corporate worship, Bible teaching, mission conversations, shared meals, workshops, orientation, quiet reflection, journaling, and rest prepare the cohort to enter the fields together.

Worship: God remains at the center
Listening: receive Scripture, stories, and one another
Community: meet the cohort, learn names, and share tables
Orientation: prepare for travel, hosts, and field expectations
Discernment: resist quick conclusions

Prayer before strategy. Community before ministry. Listening before serving. Discernment before decisions.

04 · Immerse

Continue in one local ministry context.

After Prayer Days, the cohort divides into smaller groups. Each group travels with a coordinator to one confirmed field in Spain, Portugal, Italy, or Croatia. Preferences inform planning, while final assignments reflect capacity, host readiness, language, travel, safeguarding, and program discernment.

05 · Reflect

Turn experience into formation.

Journal, pray, debrief, and notice which assumptions are changing. Record what you saw before interpreting it; ask what surprised, moved, challenged, or confused you and where you noticed God at work.

What did I notice?
What challenged an assumption?
Whose story should I remember?
What question needs more listening?

06 · Return

Bring the experience home.

Re-entry is part of the journey. Rest, journal before memories fade, pray through the names of people you met, reconnect with your mentor, return to worship, and resist summarizing everything too quickly.

07 · Continue

Take your next faithful step.

Six months after returning, revisit your journal and commitments. There is no single expected outcome: identify one response that fits God’s invitation now.

Strengthen prayer and local-church mission
Maintain relationships and partnerships
Explore mentoring, giving, or professional service
Consider another experience or longer-term candidacy
Write a simple rule of life and review it with your mentor
