Program learning outcomes

Come to see, listen, and discern differently.

By the end of the formation journey, participants should be able to connect prayer, mission understanding, intercultural learning, vocation, church community, and a faithful next step. The outcomes describe formation—not a promise that every participant reaches the same vocational conclusion.

• Recognize God as the initiator of mission and practice prayerful discernment
• Describe key features of contemporary European contexts and local Christian witness
• Listen across cultures with humility before interpreting or proposing solutions
• Receive hospitality and participate appropriately under local leadership
• Identify personal gifts, vocation, assumptions, and areas for continuing growth
• Reflect through journaling, mentor conversation, and communal debrief
• Share a truthful, dignifying testimony with the sending church
• Form an initial twelve-month action plan for one next faithful step

Participant covenant

A shared posture for the whole journey.

The covenant is a practical promise about how participants will live, learn, travel, and discern together. It protects the dignity of local hosts and helps the cohort remain attentive to God and to one another.

• Prayer: make space to listen to God each day
• Humility: arrive as a learner, not an expert
• Hospitality: receive what hosts offer with gratitude
• Respect: honor people, cultures, churches, schedules, and boundaries
• Curiosity: ask thoughtful questions before drawing conclusions
• Community: participate fully, communicate honestly, and care for the group
• Reflection: journal, debrief, and allow experience to challenge assumptions
• Integrity: follow safeguarding, confidentiality, consent, and program guidance

Guided prompts help participants name hopes, assumptions, questions, gifts, and possible next steps. The goal is not to decide an entire future, but to recognize one faithful response.
